In 2013, Salt & Time opened Austin’s first brick and mortar Butcher Shop sourcing exclusively Texas raised meats. Originally offering a very limited menu for on-site dining, Salt & Time’s Restaurant grew to become one of Austin’s favorite destinations for Farm to Table scratch cooking. Along the way, it’s Butcher’s Burger gained a cult status as one of the best burgers anywhere.
Salt & Time continues to grow, but the demand for that burger outgrew the walls of our original 7th street location. Welcome The Butcher’s Burger, a new restaurant featuring that Classic Burger plus innovative new burgers that put our years of experience making charcuterie to work to elevate the humble hamburger.
